Lots of windows opening randomly (computer problem)

Every once in a while when I 'x' out IE (has only happened with AO so far), massive amounts of IE windows open and keep going until about 50 windows, after that they all close. I brought a screenshot..

go to panicware.com and download the pop up stopper there, i think there is a free version, i downloaded it and it works great

Then search google for a program called 'adaware,' to make sure you have no spyware.

Mine does the samething. Except I don't know squat about computers. We've also got a blocker thru Earthlink but even then it still works. Any help for me?

Since it only happens in IE it's a browser parasite. Most virus scanners won't pick it up because it's launched when you start up IE.

I'd recommend installing and running several Spyware programs to cover everything.

I use Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Remember to keep checking for updates before you scan.
