Is there an easy way to converd .bmp to .jpg

Ive got a ton of pictures in .bmp format taking up alot of drive space they shouldn't be (especially since they were .jpg to start with). Is there a program or somthing that will go through and convert them because it would take me days to get through them all.

Also, when I save something from IE, it always wants to save as .bmp, even tough I know the damn this is in .jpg format, is there a way to change this. .bmp is all it will let me save it as, I cannot pick anything differant.

Why not just open the img in paint, then file > save as

then pick the file type as jpg instead of bmp?

Because I have hundreds of pictures and that would take forever.

I think Jasc Paint Shop Pro has a batch conersion utility in it.. you have to download a trial version @ www.jasc.com

What personman said. Or if you have photoshop you can create a batch conversion in that too.

Does anybody still have the Jasc Animation trial thing, or better yet, own a full copy? I used to just delete it and install it every 30 days to keep my trial, but I was away for over a month this summer and lost it. I would make buddy icons and stuff...
