    Yet another Lacrosse thread

Ok, well, I'm pretty pumped, because after a four year absence where I missed the sport a lot, I'm finally getting back in.

I have all my equipment still, but I used to play defense, which means I have about 5 beat up sticks with crappy heads and terrible shooting strings. Years of poke checks have taken their toll on my poor heads.

The team I'm going to be playing on, though, is in need of middies, so I'm gonna start running my butt off and practice shooting. This means I'll need a new head, one that I can actually shoot with.

What's a decent head for a middie nowadays? I'd like to order soon so I can have it broken in by spring.

I know theres tons of lax players on here, so someone must be up to speed on current equipment.

I play D, but I think I can still make some reccomendations. I love my X2 and Revolution (cept the Revolution broke in a freak cold weather accident), and I know middies with both. And they have both remained popular since they came out 2-3 years ago. I'm not too up to date on a lot of the new sticks. Most of them seem gimmicky, and look terrible (not that that matters, though). But what do I know, I get the ball twice a game.
Also, I think the titanium shafts are overrated and too expensive. Just buy two C405s, and use the other one if/when the first one breaks. I have a c405 and a titanium long stick. I can handle the weight of the titanium, but it's just so much easier to throw around the c405.
If you're going to be the face-off guy, ignore everything I've said.
      Hope I've helped.

nothing beats my non offset Brine Oz hed with powergrip for faceoffs. Incredibly sturdy, cheap, and you can clamp like a mofo.

I play D and an awsome all around head is the debeers wizard. its nice and stiff but not too stiff. also its cheaper than alot of other sticks at lax.com. a good shaft is the debeers 803 its the same as the f-22 powergrip but cheaper i think like 50 bucks. and the wizard comes pretty well strung for a from the factory job. also i can vouch for pat on the oz. Pats one of the fastes face-off guys ive seen.
