Ibanezs are pretty good guitars to start out with. Go to Guitarcenter.com or guitar-center.com (forgot which one) Best prices and can find nice packages.

Because once you learn on an acoustic you will be able to already play an electric, and if you can play an acoustic, you can play an electric BETTER than what you could if you had started on an electric. I try and try to convince people to start on acoustics, but everybody assumes they are gonna learn an electric in no time and start jamming For once, wont people listen to me?

Ibanez guitars are good. They're my favorite. My first guitar was an Ibanez RG170. I think I got it from musiciansfriend.com or something. Maybe music123.com.

I say, get the electric to start. If your anything like me, you'll want to start on an electric. My mom has an acoustic guitar. I never liked it. I bought an electric to learn on because I wanted to play the electric guitar, like all the cool rock stars. All the stuff people are saying about how you'll be a little better if you learn on an acoustic is mostly true, but if you aren't having as much fun, than what's the point.
