AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
dose any one have ball paythons here. if so could you post the specs of the hapatait(sp) you have the in and how big/old they our. if you can post a link to pictures of hapataits(sp) plz do so
thanks
I had one for years until my mom made me get rid of it. I just had a heat rock, and different decorative things in a large aquarium, and of course a flurescent light.
I've had ball pythons before but I have a Spotted now. There not quite as common and don't grow as large. I use indoor outdoor carpet for bedding in my tanks. It looks like felt, not the stuff that looks like bright green grass. Pet stores sell it in precut pieces or you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and get it in 8ft pieces and cut it yourself, much cheaper. I use under tank heaters w/ snakes, a good size water bowl, and a hiding place or 2. Preferably 2, one on the hot side of the tank and one on the cool side. My Spotted Python is about 3 years old. I recommend feeding thawed mice also, or at least prekilled. This will save you the risk of getting your snake bit and usually they are cheaper. I get my frozen mice for .25 each! Habitat was the term you were looking for Good luck!
I have a ball python. He is about 5 foot. What are you wanting to know? Ive had 4 of them now along with many other reptiles. Right now mine is in a 55 gallon aquarium with a screen top. I used a cedar type chip in the bottom. a large heat rock (they need heat to digest) and a tree cluster. Alos I use a large dog bowl for water which he pics up and goes under it to sleep.
