all i gotta say on this thread is

people need to stop watching the news and actually go out and experience news (ie see the benefits of guns and what not) cuase the news is only glorified violence. honestly when is the last time you watch the news and all the main headlines werent violence related

how many people knew about malayasia getting a new leader for the first time in 22 years?
or how 2 people one a what 200 million power ball jackpot
now how many people knew about the so called violence tapes the feds released or the rape with kobe bryant or the laci peterson case

hmmmm get my drift? goods out number the bads big time but people only like to see what violence happened today

hmmm that would easily make up about 15% of the total 39% (opinion not based on facts) cuase think about all the people that are still alive and who have been in the armed forces since world war 1 and you know (opinion) that almost everyone one of those people will own a gun

but like i said based on opinion

I saw that article, it's great. I hope that liar gets what he deserves. I'm all for his right to hate us "Gun Lovers" but I remain annoyed at him lying so blantantly in his films and then receiving the Academy award for documentary!

It depends on where those 1/2 the guns were taken from. If you took away my 60 legal guns you wouldn't change the crime rate one bit. But that what all the gun legislation does, it takes away my guns and not those of the people that do most of the killing (folks with illegal guns). You can't fight illegal guns by taking away the legal ones. That's the fundamental flaw with gun control, it controls the wrong guns.

Michael Moore is a blow hard liar. His movie was a complete farce. It was completely one sided, left out important details, and was a complete sham. Feel free to enjoy it as a fiction, but don't go thinking that's the way things are.

Michael Moore HATES the right and will do anything to smear it. He is not bound by the truth, any conduct of decency, or anything resembeling fact. He is a zealot and a liar.

I maintain guns in my house that are accessible and ready to go in addition to guns that are stored locked up and unloaded. I keep a .38 loaded in my bedroom (revolvers don't have springs, so you can leave them there forever) in a drawer with a latch that is difficult to open if you don't know how and easy to open if you know what to look for and how to operate it. The day I have kids in the house I'll have to change the way I store it, but until then it remains in that drawer. It is stored safely and for the protection of myself and my wife.
