okay i need some Cs help

im getting a cs itch and i need to update is teh new one 1.6? and do i need to install steam, if i get teh steam 1.6 release will i have to use steam from now on whtas up? thanks

download this... this is Steam and full cs 1.6. Yes you have to use steam while playing 1.6, there are still some 1.5 servers out there and you don't have to use steam.

Yeah, make sure you download steaminstall_cs.exe, not steaminstall.exe. Its around a 370MB download but it installs a lot easier than just installing steam and having to download the counterstrike files, everyone who has done that has had problems.

some dude had a shield(didnt know about that) so i wailed on him with the para and pushed him into a corner while a team mate did the same i ran up and shanked that mother.... but then when i went to a different server with no motd i got kicked cause i had a shield

1.5 is based on WON and thats being shut down soon if it hasent already and 1.6 is great if u can get it to work
