Most of the people who didn't like Reloaded either

        A) Didn't get the underlying idea of the movie trilogy. In the first movie you only get a very small hint of what the symbolism is, but in the 2nd they open it up a LOT more and explain things and people in many cases just didn't get it and thought it was boring. Its a thinking movie, and it was made to make you ponder.

        or

        B) Either didn't agree with the symbolism, or frankly didn't care.

I thought Reloaded, while somewhat drawn out, was full of "makes ya thinks" and thats what they were going for.

I just got home from REVOLUTIONS and honestly they did a great job with keeping their symbolism and underlying tone, but stepped it up a notch in the action/effects department to truly make those parts of the movie something you'll remember.

Great movie... but if you HATED Reloaded you might want to think "why" or open your minds more and if you just didn't care for the symbolism of Reloaded you might not like this one too.

Again... Its a thinking movie with some eye candy in there to make it fun. When you go see it really explore what the "meaning" of things are OUTSIDE of the movie, and you'll get it a lot more.

See, if you wait for video, you really miss the only good part of the movie, which is the special effects.

Actually, Erut has a point, I enjoyed Reloaded more when I saw it at the IMAX theater.

And digitard, please spare me the lecture on the deeper meanings of the matrix. I get all the subtle references and underlying themes they are trying to develop. I just feel that the first movie was much better, when they werent trying so damn hard. Its like the writers feel that they need to meet the expectations laid out for them.

And symbolism doesnt make for a great movie. I can grab my camcorder and make a movie with all the symbolism you can stand. That still doesnt mean its a good movie. And meanings outside the movie? Please! ITS A MOVIE! What the hell does a movie about robots enslaving human beings to use them as batteries, only to be confronted by some sort of messiah-like person, have to do with real life?

Just saw it. I like it. I think the last scene with Trinity and Neo was kinda cheese-ballish. "Yes I can." Heheehe. Longer scene that it should be. The mech stuff was cool. I think the story got wrapped up well. I have a feeling that the little girl is going to be an important player later. I wonder if they will call the next one, if there is a next one... "Reborn"

Dude, the little girl's job was making neato sunsets - hence her imminent deletion.

Only real prob I had with the movie was that the script was a little predictable, as whichever Rut was sitting next to me will remember (meh, haven't known you guys long enough to tell the difference, lol).

I thought the movie rocked. My favorite part is when Neo is about to hit Agent Smith and it shows the rain drops hitting Neo's fist and then on Agent Smith. That was mad sweet.

I liked that part too, you think with the budget they had thought, they could do a little better with the CG, it looked like they used Mario Paint to do that part.

Other than that, the rest of that scene was pretty sweet. They kept the CG out for the most part. The water effects where cool when the two would collide.

lol, when they collided it reminded me of something outta dbz or something, I half expected them to start shooting energy balls at each other or something.

Yeah dude. The best part of the movie was making fun of it the whole time I wasnt next to you, but dont worry, Josh can barely tell us apart either

                            Spoiler Alert!

I think they rushed it, or crammed too much and couldn't dwell on certain aspects. They shoulda made another 2-3 movies instead of trying to cram so much in the last 2.

Like the french guy.. wtf?.. he didn't need to be in the movie at all... I was hoping they could explain more things about him but it seems like he was in the movie just to be in it.

And the ending... omg! it's like they didn't know what to do!

                            SpoilerSpoilerSpoiler

didn't it seem like they just killed them off just to end the movie?.. and didn't it just go full circle?.. arn't they just going to go back to war.... the damn machines still need energy... and mopheus doesn't like the fact that they are using humans as batteries... ahh!.. i'm ranting sorry. I still think they should have streched it out another two or three movies to expain all the other programs.

I think they changed the style of the movie a little too much ith the 2nd and 3rd. The first was so sweet, but with the second two it seems like they were trying alittle too hard to give it a "deeper meaning" and it ended up having less meaning than the first movie.

As for the french guy... I think he was the best character to come out in the 2nd and 3rd flicks. He was just so cool, he had style, taste, a crazy accent, not to mention a hot girlfriend...

                                mmmm, Monica Bellucci....

WTF do you mean they rushed things?

                                *spoiler*

It takes trinity like 5 mins to die, the zion battle lasts 25 mins, and the final battle with smith is hella long too. in the second movie neo and trin have sex for like five mins, and zion people dance for like 5 mins.
in a movie, 5 mins seems like a LONG time when you're just sitting there. its seems to me like they thought that since they spent so much money on the movie, they couldn't cut anything out (hence no deleted scenes in any of the dvds yet).
