Everyone would jump on me screaming racist, sexist, a whole lot of things.
I don't know the thing someone just postsed about asking for help finding a scholarship reminded me of somthing that bothered me back in highschool. I would hear about all these scholarships, go to check them out, and most of them would be for females, or minorities. Very few that were open to everyone, and none at all only for males, or only for whites, well I think there were a couple for christians. I found one that I got eventually, good for me right.
But what about other kids in my class. Almost every minority, and a decent number of girls got scholarships. I won't whine about the girls as much as I will about the minority ones, because most of the girls who got them deserved them. But some of these kids getting these scholarships were the lazy, got horrible grades, didn't do anything in or outside of school benficial to society, and there parents had plenty of money for them to go to whatever school they wanted 4x over. Now these kids who bust there butts getting good grades, are actually really good people go out and do community service things just to do it, not for recognition, and who are working through college and are probably going to come out in debt who I think deserved them alot more than the lazy kid didn't get them because they're a white male?
I dont see how its fair, it I made a scholarship fund like the one it the title what do you think would happen? Id have good ol' Al Sharpton talking about how i'm a horrible racist.
