What is your opinion on the recent crack down on the oligarchs in Russia, and their reletive tie in with the various world powers?

Well my understanding is that some if not all of them recieved buldings like factories and such with bribes to officials who then turned over the titles. -

We'll see how it turns out. Find the right balance that's good for Russia isn't going to be easy. Up and getting rid of them and letting the chips fall where they may sounds like a good idea, but it may not be.

This is all election year hype in Russia. They have cracked down on them before and it all fades away.
I will say that these kind of campaign tactics make NJ's recent elections look polite and civil!

This is about more then election year crap. In fact Vladimir Vladimiravich might have a hard time winning without the oligarchs; for this is Russia we are talking about.
This has more to do with the agreement that Vladimir Vladimiravich had with the oligarchs that he would turn a blind eye to them, if they didn't get involved in politics.
This is interesting to witness, and the first thing I turn to in the New York Times everyday.Comment
