anyone having steam problems?

im trying to play half life or cs and i cant get any servers on teh steam menu, it just says getting new server list and doesnt load? any news?

When it can't verify you, go to settings, log out, then log back in. Usually works.

does everyone use steam JUST so they can play 1.5 and 1.6?

1.6, steam doesnt run 1.5

Im not sure if WON is still up, but when it comes down, 1.5 is gone except for lan play I believe.
