No seriously this is good. The ornament thing especialy because this can settle what to get Mom for YEARS. I mean you can familiarize yourself with what she has and add one each year as a foundation. Collectable tree ornaments are something that you can never have enough of. And so you just build on that foundation. Each year! And you just add something personal to it if you need to but you start a tradition. Moms LOVE THAT!

Okay this is coming from a mom, a really good Christmas present is always one from the heart.

One year my husband got me a really nice photo album from the Bombay Company, it was around $35 and it was wooden and the pages were antiquish.Fill it with pictures of you and your brothers.

She would love that and would be expecting it.

Personally, I wound never get my mom a laundry basket. Wine would be good assuming he can buy wine.

the thing i did was took woodshop and built my mom a clock.
If you don't take shop, then talk to the school's shop teacher about coming in to work for an hour a couple times a week he or she would prolly let you do it.
