New blink-182 album

There has been quite a bit of hype about the new Blink 182. Some die hard fans have even been taging everything in site with their new logo. one kid even taged a cop car, I'm pretty sure the cop was IN the car at the time though so the glory didn't last long.

Well I was a HUGE blink fan for quite a while. I realy loved enema of the state and all their albums prior to that, as well as the live one, and to a lesser extent, take off your pants and jacket.

I realy don't get all this "growing as an artist" stuff. If they are gonna grow they should at least grow into somthing good, not get worse, as blink has. They were great back on buda and dude ranch. Now they've gotten way too...bad. listen to the album, you'll see what I mean. too much techno going on for my tastes.

So what I'm getting at is that the new album is not very good to say the least. It's kinda sad to see a good band totaly ruined by big time success. but I guess some people like them .

Well, considering i only have dialup i'm not gonna even attempt to waste my time trying to preview it but if you say that it has techno stuff on it then it has to be bad. Blink definately went down hill after Dude Ranch and I highly doubt they're ever gonna be a good band again. I have to say though they put on a pretty decent show when i saw them a few years ago.

You are correct sir, Blink 182 undoubtedly sucks, but Linkin Park takes the cake as the worst band evar

This saddens me. Blink is my super-duper all-time most favoritest band (ask falconguy, I rant ). I didn't really like their single "Feeling This," but was hoping that it could grow on me. It hasn't. I was hoping the rest of the album wouldn't be so... crappy... I'll judge that for myself tomorrow when I have time to dl the whole thing, or whatever MTV can give me.

Regardless... I'm still going straight from school on Tuesday to the mall to pick up the new CD!!

Either way, Travis Barker is still one of the best drummers ever. Has anybody else got the new POD? It's pretty good, except my friend won't shutup about it. I like the chorus of the "Feeling This" song, just because of the cowbell.

Oh cry me a river, blink 182's desent into crap is nothing compared to the friggn' 13 year, and still going, nose dive into crapolla that Metallica has taken. I wanna shoot moron kids who say things like "hey, I think Load is my favorite metallica album, duhhh..."

Anyways, as far a blink go's. When you make a career out of pop punk in the first place, and yes they've always been "pop" punk, you really dont have that far to drop before you pancake into a "behind the music" episode land.

Ahh comeon u cant say that kindof stuff about linkin park. they put on a great show and have pretty good music, at least IMO. But hey say whatever u want everyone has their own tastes about Music.

Come on there are better bands out there. Lots of unheard or well deserved credit should go out to local bands but its masked in this mainstream and pop commercial world. I blame MTV!(and so the ranting stops)

Warewolf, yes I can say that about Linkin Park because it is the truth. Chester sounds like a preteen screamer, the rap wannabe uses the same basic rythym and tone EVERYTIME, they rely heavily on techno and through MTV was blown way out of proportion.(the ranting stops for real this time)

Linkin park has gotten a lot better with the new album meteora or whatever. I like every song on it. One of my better buys. But yeah, I like more local bands than the big popular crap. Local bands are just in it for fun, and aren't influensed by money that much.

high school kids and frat guys think Linkin Park is the end all to music. I think most people have to get a few years under their belt before they can step back and say "man, these guys, Linkin Park, really do kind of suck". But thats ok, their target audience is mainly that age group so its only natural that those people love them.

Blink always sucked. The only good thing about there new CD is that the video for their single has hot school girls in it.

It seems like waaay too many bands have been crapping out lately.
