I think your gonna be fine. 50% blame should mean both party's are equal in fault. And so he is stuck with his bill and so are you. I think the judge will see this as a wash. Good luck.

The tactic the guy is trying to get you to do is one of settling out of court. Once the judge sees this, he/she will either throw out the case, or listen to both sides to see what it is about (for the judge doesn't know much more then the standard file he/she gets), and quickly dismiss the case for lack of fault on either side, and might award you the cost of your legal services.

CB, thanks for the wishes. there will be no counter suit launched on my behalf. I do not want this dragged out, I would rather it just go away and I can go on with my life.

to my knowledge, this was done with when his insurance company sent me the letter placing neither of us at 50% fault. I recieved a check for 50% damages, i blew it going to megameet last year (my truck didnt need to be fixed to drive, however, it looked silly with a dent in the bed)

hopefully, all goes well with this, and it just dissappears

i didnt wave him anywhere. I know the diagram is confusing. he was travelling perpendicular to me. I didnt see him/he didnt come into play, until he hit me. the car I waved was directly infront of me turning left (which crossed my path of travel)

and there will be no couner-suit.

I still think that if you loose your insurance company has to pay for it. That would be why they are defending you. Think your insurance company cares if your out $24,000? But they do care if they are out the money. You have liability insurance correct? Then just about any damage you do while your driving is covered.

I got a letter from my attorney yesterday saying that the plaintiff has dropped charges and signed a release of liability regarding me.

im so happy. i suppose this is an early present for me. no being tied up in court, and all that jazz.

--On the same road you are on (accross the intersection from you), there is a line of (3) cars faceing south, and are going to turn east (their left)

--You get a green light to go north, and at the same time the cars heading south (but turning east) get a green light.

This is were i am confused...

--You stop in the middle of the "large intersection" and let the cars turn in front of you.

YOU had the right of way, YOU not them YOU.
What gives, why did you stop?
THEY were soposed to wate for you!
Was there a long line of cars behind you or something?
I can not immagon why you would stop in the middle of the "large intersection" when you had the right of way.




**EDIT I am happy everything worked out for ya.EDIT** Even tho you stopped your light was still green and it sounds like the actual accedent is not 50% your foult. Maby 2% , only cuz if you didn't stop you would have been thru the intersection already.
