Hummer H2s

My thoughts on the Hummer H2:

A 50,000 dollar dumpster on wheels that gets 6 - 10 miles per gallon. Anyone who drives one is pathetic and is irresponsible for using so much gas. Moreover, half the people I see driving them are soccer moms on cell phones. I hate them.

What are your thoughts?

My friend has an old hummer, 9 MPG with the diesel, hummers have alot of week points though, the're great offroad, but certain things break alot.

I didnt start a thread to put down the Hummer H2, I merely want other's opinions on it. The H1s are cool, but the best thing to get is a true Humvee, a demilitarized one.

I thought the point of owning a Hummer would be for indestructability, the H2 is weak sauce. Its all GMC components with a flashy body design.

If it can't take a landmine, it aint no Hummer! Humvee 4 Life!

As for being a gas hog, I could care less about that. I drive a truck that gets 7-9mpg.

Hummers are tough, but not indestrucatbl, the transfer cases are week along with several other parts. And they used the wrong diesel engine in it
People who buy SUV's for there status arn't cool. When I had my SUV's I had them so I could drive through all the mud and sand I could find, stuff 12 people in the car, or haul things around, my SUV's were put to work. My camaro gets decent gas milage, and is just fun to drive and do stupid things with, while still having the capacity for 6 passagers (hey aslong as i'm not in the back, they can just keep pileing in for all I care.

Hummers are built, bought, and driven (for the most part) by people who lack self esteem. Because they are big, intimidating, and tough, one assumes that by driving one, they are big, intimidating, and tough. They're trying to prove something by driving it. If you are concerned about proving yourself superior in everything you do, whether its driving, paintball, or even talking down to people on a regular basis (which many here are guilty of), you're missing out on something. And though you may get alot of attention, you should ask if it was worth all your time, money, and effort if you still feel the need to prove yourself.

The new hummers suck.. i mean thats all they are is a GMC Suberban engine built in a hummer body. I like the old ones alot better, you know the ones that actually serve a purpose.

Or they're bought because your mom feels that you need one to be safe. Any you abuse the hell out of them. We had this kid getting his hummer about 2.5ft of air, all 4 wheels off the ground at the beach. Then he takes it offroad every place he can find. Real men drive old pickups, blazers, and ramchargers
