The University of Texas at Austin has a pretty big Engineering department. You might want to check them out. Hook 'em Horns!

        EE? Well Clemson of course!

TIME magazine selected Clemson as its 2000-2001 "Public College of the Year." The Kaplan/Newsweek College Catalog 2002 lists Clemson among the nation's top schools that offer the best value for your tuition dollar, are academically challenging, are hot and trendy, and have the best Web sites. Clemson was the first state-supported institution in South Carolina to be recognized in Peterson's Competitive Colleges: Top Colleges for Top Students.

And Kiplinger's magazine ranks Clemson 21st among the top 100 best values in public colleges. The University is one of only six colleges with which internationally known engineering powerhouse Ingersoll-Rand has a recruiting partnership. The General Electric Company has added Clemson to its elite nationwide group of Executive Schools, and the new status gives Clemson students a considerable edge when it comes to GE openings.

          Carnage Mellon, MIT, CIT (California),

But getting into those is almost impossible

University of Alabama has a good program, that Cow College has a good program; Georgia Tech is probably one of the better ones in the area.

Also one that is good to look into is Cooper Union. They denied me so , but they are a good school.

Rensselaer Polytech! (RPI). That's where I am. I'm getting a dual in EE, and Computer systems engineering. It sucks. You'll work your butt off, but you'll get a job when you graduate. Most of my EE friends who didn't go to grad school had jobs lined up before they got out of school. Pretty decent jobs too. From 50K to 75K starting salary. The school costs an arm and a leg. Shirley Anne Jackson (our president) is a greedy one. She's like oprah jr. She's the highest paid president in the US at 892K I think. Well, anyway. Check out the schools website. http://www.rpi.edu, and the ECSE department website http://www.ecse.rpi.edu/

Eastern is just a small school in Middle-of-Nowhere, IL. It's a couple hours from Chicago and I don't think they have any programs for which they are renowned. I certainly wouldn't pay out-of-state tuition to go there.

The boyfriend of one of the local Starbucks employees goes there if you want another opinion from a student.
