it seems that every review i read (on amazon) of digital cameras, all of them have something bad about them. whether it's canon's crappy customer service, or kodak's much-too-simplified cameras, or sony's overpricedness, or panasonic's need to stay away from making digital cameras...so i need input from those with digital cameras that are <=$250, and are very happy with them. if you have one, what is it, what're its features, pros, cons, etc.

Digital Cameras
I've owned a Canon digital camera (I have the powershot G2) for about 2 years now, and let me tell you I am quite impressed with it. I've messed around with other cameras that my parents and friends have (Sony and Olympus) and by far the Canon was the best out of all of them for features and ease of use. CNET is a good resource to use for the different cameras out there. Here's something that's in your price range that is recommended: Cnet Review
Good luck!

I have a canon A60. 2 Megapixel Camera. They go for about $200. I love it. If I had the money to spend I would still have gone with canon.-Jaasper

I have an Olympus D400 Zoom. It is a few yrs old now so I see them for under 200.00. I paid 699.00 for this one. It still takes the best pics I will ever need. Comes with everything. Find this one(or the 450 zoom) for cheap on the web. You wont be dissappointed.

I have an HP 720 3.2megapixles, 12x zoom (3x optical, 4x digital, 16mb internal memory, up to 30 sec video with audio. I paid about $200 for it, put its probably about $150 now. I want the HP735 just because you can take 58sec videos, and its $178 at walmart, but it doesn't look like its as tough as the 720, its all coated in rubber and such, just seems like I could beat it with a stick and it would be ok. But for $250 you can get yourself a pretty decent camera.

I have a sony dsc dp10 and it's freaking awesome... 5 megapixel goodness with video and sound capturing... Sure it's over your limit but the lower cybershot cameras are very nice too and in your range
