    random icons showing up on desktop

    I have a newer computer,and lately random casino icons have been showing up on my desktop. Any ideas why?

    happened to me a while ago.....just get an anti-virus/popup blocker....like zone alarm pro....or norton anti virus.....or are they the same thing??

      Download Lavasoft Adaware and run it on your system.

          New computers usually come with some anti virus program, make sure its updated and scan your computer. If that doesn't work try ad aware.

                What i said to get doesent only stop popups..its adjustable you can block alot of different things....hard to explain!

                      also, try spybot - search and destroy. I use that in combination with ad-aware. works pretty well.

                          And someone needs to sue the makers of this kind of software. You go to a website, click "No" on every popup, and suddenly theres 5 new programs running on your computer, all of which say you have to download the uninstaller...

                          Argh. Anyways yes adaware will stop it. Make sure you update also.
