No, we do not have the power to invade or intervene in a foreign country unless atrocities of genocide or such as committed.
The courts have the rights to declare a law unconstitutional.
Since when did basic human rights require a majority to come into effect? I wonder if the African Americans wanted to wait for a popular vote to see if they deserved all the same rights as the WASP do.

My response
So if someone kept politcal prisoners (could be argued we have), had ordered the use of chemical weapons, and had ordered acts that resulted in mass graves of people then we would have the right to invade or interven? BTW, do we have that right to go in to remove someone known to have done that, or just to stop them from doing it again? Do we have the right to go into a country (not sure in Iraq) that practices female circumsision on a regular basis and is permitted by law - in which honor killings of women are permitted by the government? Do we have a right to go into a country where its indefinite rulers commit murder and rape on a regular basis with no possible threat from the system?
Now I would honestly like to see the answer.
I also reserve the right to argue both sides of this should I decide to, its my right as a Gemini
