Oh how I miss thermite ... we used to demonstrate thermite grenades to new Marines in the engineer program by stacking ammo cans on top of each other and then setting off one.

Watch it burn its way through the stack down to the ground ...

Man I miss playing with explosives and stuff that burns good

BTW ... pure Sodium (if you can find a large block) and a large body of water are always fun to play with.

Just don't eat it

Sodium burns upon contact with water. Its usually stored in oil. If you don't start munching on it, you should be good

Heh, we have used it to melt through an engine block. Pretty cool. Oh, one thing: dont look at it while it burns. Kinda like welding...UV rays or whatever...
