    New Laptop!!

I just got myself a new laptop. Toshiba A35-S159.

Real nice laptop, huge screen and crispy clear.

What I'm finding coolest is the integrated Wi-Fi card. Combined with a new Lynksis wireless router I can watch tv and surf again. The connection from the laptop to the internet is just as fast as my desktop with a hard line.

Are you stupid or something? Did you ever think other people might need to move their computer around, or take it with them on trips.

heh, I got it because I'm going to be doing alot of CAD work next semester, and I always do my homework at work, not at home.

            I needed something portable.

Ramen: Sorry, no previous laptop to give.

For some reason XP pro doesn't like my comp. I was using the school upgrade pack and about halfway through it died. Now I can't do anything with it. GRrrr. Going to the campus store first thing tomorrow.

good job on getting a toshiba, im sure you will love it, i absolutely love mine. I have an A25, which was top o the line 2 months ago and appears to be obsolete already!

Wel one thing i will warn you, is that you shouldnt plan on playing many games on it, unless your WiFi card doubbles as a vid card (i dont know if it does or not) the Trident vid card apparently hates most games, i cant play halo, or splintercell on my comp. This pisses me off because i have spent over 100 in games, and well, i cant do a damnt thing about it

The majority of Laptops out there suck with games... reason being is that they were built with mobility of office aplications in mind... so video performance and 3d are typicaly not prioritized. If you really want a machine to play games on you need to spend the $$$$. I like Alienware... dont we all... lol

The reason I like the toshibas is that they mark all the screw holes with the screw type. This makes them SOOOOO much easyer to take down and rebuild. Its hard to memorize what is what when you have better than 100 diferent screws holding the thing together.

I don't plan on running games, so no big loss there.

I also don't plan on taking it apart, but that's nice to know.

I have a gateway 450ROG and the centrino definatly makes it easy cause at my house and in at a few buildings on campus there is wireless internet so I can just take it where ever I need to go. I have the mobility radeon 7500 which was able to play a beta build of halo that I had, but I have yet to try final game on it.
