how cheap of wood can i get?

i would like to buy sheets of wood for a speedball course. Obviously i will need it to hold up in rain and not rot to easily. I've heard there is cheaper wood than plywood available.
    What would you guys recommend?

ok you might think im crazy buuuuut... go out in some woods (get permission if you dont own the land) find an area with alot of small to medium pine trees and cut em down... then cut them about the size you want in the bunkertobe and nail em all together (no real advice here just find a way that works for you) now dig two holes the same length apart as the bunker is and cut two more pieces the same height as the bunker and then put one of the pieces in the ground nail the bunker to it then the other piece. you could prob tie them together too w/e works... my friends built a whole fort this way and plenty of bunkers with a little help from me i have a few pics of the fort but no scanner

        ... another idea....

You could also check with fencing companies and see if they have any wooden fencing for sale, or 2nds, or used wooden fencing. Wooden fencing is really easy to use and most of the work is already done for you.

          re

go to your local saw mill and ask about their slab wood. it's the wood that they trim off the logs when they cut them into planks . most of the time they give it away to get it out of their way.

See if you can find anyone that has a bunch of old plexiglass(sp). I asked my shop teacher what I should do for bunkers, and he loaned my TONS of old scratched, cheap plexiglass. We just got brown and dark green spraypaint and went over em, and they're perfect. This is probably one of the best things to use for woodsball, because it can't rot, and it holds up to weather fine. It's also cool because we left some unpainted, and just clear, so it's like being behind a sheet of glass, and then paint splatters everywhere.

For free plywood go to a large moving company and ask if they have any junk moving crates.
These are the giant crates that they load all the household goods into and put on there trucks.
I brought home 2 semi truck loads and now have more plywood then I know what to do with.

Take it from dumpsters at construction sites. Me and my dad did that and I have a sweet field not quite finished yet though. When i get TheAmazingJelloMag to come over with his digicam we can post pics.
