Duh , lol It is given that glass is better than the rest. The other materials give different tastes to the liquid inside, glass is just very very heavy to ship.

It's a proven fact that coke tastes better in glass bottles. Falconguy explained why... and they're not only heavy to ship, plastic is easier to ship, since glass has that nasty habit of occasionally breaking.

        And: soda, not pop.

Down in the south, everything is referred to as coke.

I don't like Pepsi or Coke. I think that they're extremely nasty. They make my mouth feel odd. Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, Sprite, and Mello Yellow are the only that will do for me. Actually, any citrus drink is good.

I have said this for years. Coke in a bottle is the best.

When I was a kid in Virginia everything was a Coke.
When I moved to New Hampshire everything was a tonic.
                  whatever...

Coke has it over Pepsi in any from. MHO.

Where in Virginia did you live? I'm in Northern Viginia (I swear, the northern fourth of Virginia could be its own state ), and the word is soda. You get laughed at and rocks thrown at you for saying pop, or soda pop. And it's just CONFUSING when everybody says coke for everything.

Pop? No one south of Maryland says pop, NO ONE!

Here in Roanoke, the word is Soda. or Coke. Pepsi is just blasphemous.
