Oh so very sad. But worse is that this is the type of person that will wipe a hit right in front of you. Then when you make a point of putting enough paint on him so he cant wipe he will RUN to a ref and cry that you are over shooting and get you tossed. What to do? Cheaters like that are putting a drag on the sport.

I fail to see how cheating in paintball is worse than cheating in school.

Then maybe you should go have a serious talk about ethics with your teachers, because you seem to lack any kind of sense of right and wrong when it comes to professional integrity.

I'm not flaming you, I'm just saying that based on what you've said, you appear to have NO base for professional integrity, and if you don't have professional integrity, then good luck keeping a well-paying job or having any semblance of a good career, b/c NO ONE will keep a guy who has little or no professional integrity. let alone hire one who they find out has little or none.

What I've found is... several managements are too stupid to realize that someone is of low professional integrity. Sometimes, upper-management is full of them too! They make life miserable for everyone else, and are VERY hard to get rid of. They are two-faced, so people under them see one side... and upper-management see another, and they don't know what you are talking about if you are complaining about them, they are just annoyed by it - because they cover their eyes and shut down their brains. Sometimes it's because they don't have the guts to do anything about it... I think most people don't.

They are good at getting you to do their work... they act like they are busy and assign you a task that they should be responsible for - you gonna say no? He'll make you regret it! One of their tricks is keeping their responsibilities unknown or mysterious. They're good at diverting blame to everyone else, taking credit for everything. People they see as a threat, they try to make life miserable for and try to make you quit or write you up for petty things and try to get you fired. Employees who are their "fan-boys" become spies... they try to make things miserable for you under his protection.

Everyone cares about themselves, they don't care about you. They want to get more for themselves, and do less... in however way they can. They will stab you in the back upon the first opportunity. The best ones do this all very covertly, they might even seem to be "nice" or "fair," and unless you keep your eyes and ears open, you'll be oblivious to it. I trust no one, to different degrees. It's great when some people you work with, especially management, are not dirty rats and actually try to work hard and be fair to everyone at all times.

Good thing professional integrity still exists in the engineering world; in fact, if ethics and such are violated for gain or any other reason, then that engineer or manager or whoever will find themselves unhirable, b/c the people who do the hiring will hear about it, and no engineering firm wants a guy who was once suspended from being an engineer because of ethics violations. Having an unethical engineer or engineering manager is just asking to eventually get you sued b/c of your product being unsafe.

That's a perfect example of what cheating will eventuall get you: a congressional summons to investigate you for fraud, or whatever.

Cheating begets more cheating begets even MORE cheating. And in the real world, alot of cheating is defined as STEALING. And in the real world, STEALING, depending on how much you steal and the value of what you steal, can land you a federal felony conviction.

Anyone see anything worthwhile in risking prison time for doing that instead of just doing your work honestly? I certainly don't.

I just earned my MBA after a LOT of hard work.

Numbers don't come easy for me and after my engineering degree I learned that the only way I was gong to succeed was going to be to work my tail off.

I ran into one kid who decided that he'd have rather used my hard work for himself. I politely explained to him so the rest of the class could hear, that if he was going to continue to browse my work during the exam that he and I were going to have some post class activities.

He acted all pissed too until the rest of the class pretty much gave him the same look I was. Keep it up and you're going to walk with a limp.

Cheaters suck. Period. And I don't give two flying rats rectal areas if you don't like being called on it.

If you cheat, you're a punk. End of story.

And what about the engineer who takes credit for his group's hard work? It happens all the time. He is the one who will succeed. I'm not saying its right. I'm not saying I agree with it. I'm saying its reality. Whether you play the game, or not, you still need to know the rules.

If at work I find someone cheating or scaming(or what ever) I will certinly drop a dime someway or the other. But my one track minds keep coming back to how this thread hooks into the game. Carnifex not to pick on you but your at least answering these. So what your telling me then is on the field if you took a hit and there were no ref's around you would wipe and play on? The ends justify the means?
