its not possible. if you get the two flutes in the first stage you can warp to the final one once youve beaten the first stage.but even then youve already been playing for at least 8 minutes because of the time it takes to load once you beat a stage. i will do it as fast as i can tomorrow. (still have the old nes setup on one tv).

um... it doesn't take that long to load a stage and it takes even less to beat a stage. It took him 13 seconds to beat the first and second stages. In game time it took him 6 seconds on the first stage and 7 in the second one. I really think it's possible to do it. I'm just in disbelief that the guy was able to do the fast airship level without using a pwing.

I'm sure that was done on purpose. He was playing for time, and the fireworks cut-scene that would have come with picking up a third star would have cost him several seconds.

As for not swimming under the boat, obviously he was going for points as well as time, hence the hitting every cannonball rather than dodgeing them. Pretty sweet though.

I dont believe it. I saw to many spots where he should have been hit, and the castle bosses took only ONE time to kill instead of THREE.

Still, anybody who believes he did that cant be to bright. Its so obvious when he is supposed to shrink etc.

Actually he uses some good tricks when he is in the air when he is supposed to get hit. I used the tricks too. It's called ducking and double jumping! I'm not talking about the basic ducking and jumping either i'm talking about the kind that lets you do crazy stuff like almost get hit. lol

I don't think its a programmed run because there are a couple times when he misses some stuff or does things you wouldnt expect from something programmed.

I'll believe its possible, I've seen some insane video game players, and mario bros. isn't the most challenging thing on earth.

ok i just finished playing mario brothers 3. at minute 13 i had finished beating the flying aircrafts right after the hand grab stages on level 8. i had died 3 times(cause of my mom yelling in my ear) and stop twice at mushroom houses to get supplies. it probably is possible since i did die and take two road trips.
