First off im not a hippie! i was considering going into the peace corps for a year or 2 after i graduate high school. Im not really sure if i can do that but it sure would help for someone to put me in the clear on this. Im a carpenter by trade, but i dont know if this requires a college degree or anything. any info would be greatly apreciated. thanks.

I don't know too much except that I might do it after college. A friend of mine is doing it and I think you do it for 2 years and get 2000$ and a break either every 6 or 12 months. It may be a good idea to wait untill after college, unless you don't plan on going to college. -
i say military instead. better benefits

I would also say the military is a better route to take. Your already being a carpenter you could infact give something to the peace corps. I wish I could help more but I went with the military and dont know too much about the peace corps. your best bet would be to go straight to the peace corps recruiter and ask questions.
Edit:The military does have its perks but it also has some serious down sides.Last edited by Yamz; 11-30-2003, 03:12 AM."AHHH The Good Life... Jeep Driving, Paintball Shooting, SCUBA Diving, Hardcore Seabee" ~YamzComment
