    another aim profile virus

i clicked it by accident, i would never do it on purpose cuz its happened b4 but i clicked on a link in someones aim profile. it reads "I cant believe i found a picture of (screen name) here! (<--- link) HAHAHA" i ran ad aware, deleted some tracking cookies and something called "alexant". ive been combing through program files and such, but i can't find it anywhere. does anyone know how i can delete this virus? (ad aware does not work, have run many many scans) or how i can find it among all the different files? it is def the only virus on the computer right now, as i just got the computer re-formatted and the only things i have on it are steam, aim, and the only website i have been to is here, AO. I tried deleting AIM and reinstalling it but that also failed. any ideas?

Search around on google. There are usually message boards with solutions to the aim profile viruses. That's how I found the solution for a friend of mine.

It got me to about 5 minutes ago. I'm gonna try and do a system restore to see if that helps.

If you can find the name of the file, push ctrl+Alt+delete and click on the executable file and click end task and that may get rid of it.

Just delete it from your profile. Worked fine for me, and I have restarted my comp and aim a couple times to make sure it didn't come back and it didn't. Oh, and I did ctrl alt del and closed some exe that was running.

I don't know excatly but it was random letters and a number 2. Like bfhgp2p something funky like that. I'm almost positive it had p2p at the end.

That may very well be it, is it running when you press control alt delete?
