I'd host it over my connection... Ive got 1.5mb upstream, should be PLENTY for a text based RPG hehe. I may be able to run it off of the FragTek webserve as well.

I found something called legend of the green dragon, is that what you guys are talking about? Seems to be an updated version of LoRD that's net capable

Can't download it at work, but you should be able to get it here.

A warning though, I read that you can expect about 45 megs worth of bandwith per player per month.

Hrmmm, it looks like it requires shell access to set it up, and Ipowerweb doesnt offer me shell access Well actually... I think they do, I will contact them about it and see if they will let me run it! I wanna host this so bad!

45mb/player/month isnt too bad, I dont expect to have thousands of active users

How would I go about hosting this on my own computer without the use of a BBS server to make it available on the net? Anyone know?

Think BBS fun, sans the modem ... Goes through your 'net connection instead of dialing up.
