I was thinking of something very similar but I wasn't gonna say a thing.

Its not too hard, and they are not just cool dreams.
All you do is write down your dreams for like 10 days. Then about 10 times a day ask yourself if your dreaming. If you are successful you won't just have cool dreams, you will have control of another world.

My lucid dreams are often centered around computer programming, or are pornographic in nature. But as soon as I am aware of this, I wake up because I'm afraid someone else can see what I'm watching.

I'm just kidding! I have the funny bug today, I dunno why.

                  funny thing about my dreams.

I dream lucidly, but because I'm so bitter and angry at heart my lucidity turns the dreams against me.

for example, if I dream I'm walking down a hall, I'll think to myself "great, this hallway's gonna start collapsing any minute now", and sure enough it will start collapsing.

Not sure if this was in the other thread but there is a great book thats out that deals with all facets of dreams called, "The Mind at Night" By: Andrea Rock.

                    Good stuff in there...

hmm.....We'll I'm gonna try this out. Maybe I'll get into such a cycle that I can't control when I'm dreaming and reality and the two begin to blur together and BAM....I control reality.

                      YAY!

I used to do this all the time after ive been eating authentic mexican food while in TJ or Rosarita. (really) I think it was the guacamole or something but EVERY night after the street tacos I usually have crazy dreams that I can control. It would be cool to do it whenever I wanted though.

I read about it a couple weeks ago and that same night I was "lucid dreaming" Didnt experience what some people in this thread talk about, I was just standing in a big room. I could move my hands and when i say something and turn around, there it was. Like a car or a person... I didnt think about walking or exploring it but it was a really cool experience.

                            quikkk and i win.

Two books I can personally reccomend:
"The Projection of the Astral Body" by Hereward Carrington and Sylvan Muldoon
                              And
"Stalking the Wild Pendulum" by Itzhak Bentov

The first puts forth a reason for why we dream, with instructions on how to induce lucid dreaming or as he puts it, "conscious projection"
The second is a bit more esoteric, and tries to explain the entire universe as an expression of conciousness. He uses some rather technical reasoning, involving Heisenbergs uncertainty and Pauli's exclusion principles to demonstrate his points. But his ideas about the mind and perceptions of time include dreams and what it is we do (and where we go) when we dream.
