Yea, I used to be able to do it when I was very young and didn't realize it, now I cant as often.

The problem is you can't do anything REALLY fun because you don't know what it will be like, your mind can't go somewhere you haven't.

Oh yeah i think i slowly devoloped lucidty over my lifetime without really trying to... when i was younger i remeber knowing i was in a dream but it felt like everything was heavy espeacially my eyelids and i could barely see anything because they were alwasy nearly closed, and this happened alot.

Now that never happens and i always know where everything is, and i know im dreaming, but i still dont seem to do anything about it. Its very wierd i almost cant wait to go to sleep tonight because this is the first time ive actually thought about something like this.
Last week i thought i was indecisive, but now im not sure anymore...

YES! That's what has been happening ot me lately. The parts of my dreams that make the most sense i can always control what I'm doing but with really heavy, half asleep eyelids.

lucid dreaming is a skill and a gift, for me its been a dificult skill to master.
In short you will be like NEO X 10, if you wanted everything in cubist all you have to do is will it to be that way.
I have not explored past normal physical laws, gravity, and such things. Right now i am trying to master things that people can alredy do, telepathy, move stuff with my mind, etc. Later when i am more adapted to my world, i will move into the stuff that defys what we call reality, make objects appear in my hand, fly, walk thru stuff, and pause time. There is so much more but i am not a good writer so im stopping.

The trick is to go slow and adapt yourself to your new world, if you move to fast than you will just wake up.

exactly, that's the problem i had when i was doing it. I got too excited. I stopped remembering my dreams though, I don't get enough hours to get into good dream state.

Well, this is all extremely interesting, and I had NO idea you could do any of this. I am going to try to start remember my dreams from now on... and see where I can go from there

I read the entire other thread, and found it interesting, enough that I considered it all day. Does anyone ever have the problem that Lucid dreaming and reality do not mix well. I was driving down the road, and for some reason I thought of lucid dreaming and thought, wow I can just drive off here and do whatever I want... I then recalled I have never tried lucid dreaming and was very awake still and in an enviroment I did not control

I try my best to seporate the two, but if you ever wonder if you are sleeping or lucidizing just tell yourself to wake up. If you wake up you were sleeping, if you don't you are alredy awake. Its a bumer when you are realy awake

lol, well, I try to make my environment too outlandish to believe so I am SURE I am dreaming.

I've been having a lot of dreams lately where I'm reading a book (i dont actually see the words or the book, i just know that i am reading a book, if you know what i mean)or saying a speach or something. I kind of make up the words as I go, and it seems like it makes perfect sense, like it's a really good story or a really well made speach or something.

What the heck does this mean?!??!?!?!?!?!?!

That's typical of all dreams. Unless your brain really wants to say it you'll just have something like jibberish or fake words.

If you have to ask yourself if you're dreaming, then you're dreaming.

I remember one time in a dream I (in the persona of "Hawkeye" from MASH, for some reason) told a joke that I had never heard before, and woke up immediately afterwards, and still thought that it was a good joke. I can't for the life of me remember what it was, though.

frude says that books represent the male genitalia, and words, speach, talking, means either a problem or conflict.
faraday would say it just means your reading more latly or your not reading enof.

One of the cool thing that I've dreamt was that I was watching an episode of 'Friends', the whole thing. Then two weeks later, in the real world, that episode of 'Friends' aired, but the thing was that it was a brand new episode. I freaked my sister out by telling her what was going to happen next. I know this is not lucid dreaming, but thought I would share this with you.
