    VW Phaeton

    Has anybody seen this yet? this looks like the ultimate luxury car. it even has a a 6.0 liter 414 hp W12 engine!

          Saw one at the car show last week. I wasnt impressed, its an 80,000 dollar VW with an ugly grill.

                      Its a vw... nice lookin car. What I really dig though is that factory. Somebody dropped some bank!

                          No think Passat on steroids!
                          The thing about the W engines is that they make HP and torque at insanely low rpm and through the magic of drive by wire and computerized fuel management it just stays flat through most of the rpm range. I think that they fire on 2 cylinders at the same time because the W12 is just 2 of the VR-6 motors stuck together fed air by 4 turbos. Crazy GERMANS

                              That car is not just another "VW on steroids". It was built from the ground up to be a luxury car on par with the 7 series and S class mercedes. It started years ago as a concept car. I think VW scored big with it. It is only being produced in low numbers. It's selling well in Europe.

                                  some of the bugattis have the quad-turbo v-12, i'm pretty sure the phaeton is not forced induction...

                                  i'm not sure what i think about it... that newer concept convertable with the mid-engine v-6 has me drooling too much...
