Worst part is when I'm about to sneeze my eye twitches, so if I don't sneeze my eye carries on twitching for about thirty seconds or so and begin to water while my mouth is wide open trying to prepare for a sneeze that is invariably never going to happen.

Its the same reason why you cant control the cough reflex when we are choking. It has to do with the involntary sensory innervations through Cranial Nerves 5- trigeminal division 2- Maxillary and Cranial Nerve 10- Vagus. Your eyes may get teary due to the fact that Your Lacrimal Glands Supplied by Cranial Nerve 5- trigeminal division 1-opthalmic via. the lacrimal nerve. Communicate with Cranial Nerve 5- trigeminal, divison 2 maxillary through a communicating branch off the zygomatical facial nerve which provides parasymtathetic innervation to the lacrimal gland.Did you hear about the new european weapons contracts? I don't sneeze very often. I have a "phobia" against sneezing and therefore, rather than just sneezing, I supress it. Sure, it makes my face all contorted and I look like an idiot, but that is much better than sneezing for me. I do sneeze sometimes....when I'm at home alone or if only my wife is there.
