    Nokia N-gage

I've been watching stuff on this phone for close to a year...and I'm finally fed up. I've read more reviews on this product and no 2 are the same, so I'm begging AO, does ANYONE have one of these and/or has a friend that has one. I'm looking for screen shots, battery lifes, ergonomics, durability, sound quality,... ANYTHING I can get from a first hand source is greatly appressiated. Since my provider can't offer inshurance on phones till Feb I have till then to find out as much as possible. I see they are already going for as little as 150$ NIB on E-bay!!!!!

    My .02 cents ... avoid it ...

The screen is arranged to be tall not wide, so it makes some games odd to play.

You hold the phone sideways to talk on it .. like one person said, its like talking into a taco.

Battery life is so-so ... not the best in the world. If do allot of talking and playing you will go through it pretty quick.

Games are a pain to load ... you need to turn off the phone, remove the battery, remove the old game, put in the new game, replace the battery, etc ...

Games are on the secure digital cards ... VERY VERY easy to break or lose.

You are better off getting a GBA SP, and a Cell phone ... the two as one idea didnt fly well. I used to manage a Babbages, and the friends I have that still do say the units flopped. Almost no one pre-ordered, and many units have been returned with problems. Mostly user related from people not knowing how to work them correctly though.

Funny as hell. I always thought the N-Gage was a stupid idea and after seeing the final product, I was right.

here's my theory on the sidetalking issue. They figured since it's design IS to be a gaming deck they figured they better put the phone on the side without the buttons and stuff cause gamers are the greasiest mothers on the planet and pressing the keypad against their faces would cause the thing to stop working the keys would get so cloged with grease....

They sold almost zero of these things. The produced and sold 400,000 units to retailers and the retailers have sold about 5% of those. They are slashing prices and doing anything they can to move them.

Without knowing much about the actual system, my advice to is steer clear, as it is headed for the realm of discontinued product in the near future.
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger

Sounds like they followed AGD's way of determining how many they will sell ...

Ask people "Will you buy this?" and then pray that they will hold to their word once youve produced them ...**cough**roller trigger**cough** ...

well i bought one. and i sold it on ebay two days later. the games are horribly difficult to load. the thing has no key lock so forget putting it in your pocket. you pretty much have to use the headset to talk. its a nice headset though, and the fm radio and mp3 player parts are great. the part that lost it for me was the side talking feature. for someone who uses his phone as much as i do it was just not a good idea. the system to me was a good idea but it just didnt work out in the end. wait a few months and you can prolly pick these up really cheap on ebay. you can play against others via bluetooth and thats a pretty neat feature.

I don't know who would ever buy one of these things.

They almost reproduced the notchbacks for the camaro's on the "Ok who will buy one if we make them" basis. Out of about 50 people 5 came through. I wanted my notchback

yeah, I'm just making a point, all these ppl with huge sigs suck ballz. And since mine got removed I'm going a.) add another REALLY anoying sig and b) report everysig I don't like that breaks the rules even the slightest.

See waaaaay back in the day I had a really cool sig, but someone complained about it...and it got removed. SO I figured I'd comply witht he regulations and be NORMAL about it... as you can see now, 1 in 5 sigs is oversized or something else. SO the War of the sigS is on. heheheh
What I'm hoping for is the "one jerk spoils is for everyone" effect. I mean what else am I supposed to do? I can't attach pictures anymore.....
