i say, since unka phil is on a tear with the other post whores.. that he absorbs their post count every time he resets them to zero. he'll reach 100,000 that much quicker.

plus, that would make pyro jealous as hell.

        What did I miss?
I would bet that once PyRo made it to the top, he would have slowed his pace significantly.

Not sure if my math is accurate here...

According to his profile page, phil has 12282 posts.

That means he needs 87,718 more to break the mighty 100k.

His profile also shows that he only does .99 posts per day (which seems odd to me).

Taking those numbers that means that it will take phil roughtly 242.8 years to get to 100k.

              87,718 posts total/ .99 posts a day = 88604.

              88604/365 = 242.75.

course, I wholly suck at math so I may be more than just a bit off the mark.
Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.

He really joined in Jan 2000. So he has done between 3000 and 4000 posts per year.

                *edit to correct!

This seems rather unlikely as well.

...or was it 2001? When was the site bought by AGD? I started coming here in the previous year around Nov or something. Think they were buying it then or something. Or just had or just were about too. Finaly joined and first posted a few months into that. Heck I forget now. Know the January is right.... I got it written down somewhere here.... Anyway that would be the reason for the posts per day thing being off. I was trying to set my join date to my birthdate. July 15 1956. And it is indeed still set to that! But for some reason it displays as 69. I do not know why but the software just will not display 1956 in the join date. My point was it would be funny to be able to say to the question "how long you been here?" and me reply.... "since I was born!" and them go "No Way!" and I go "Yes way...see my profile?" and they go "what the!". However the software here spoils my clever plan.

Ok just looked. First register on this was Oct 2000 so it would have been 2001 when I joined.

Long story but I shorten it. The ISP we had at the time did NOT do frequent back ups like they were supposed to. So we had to reinstall the last back up they had done. And that lost about a month of data. They had failed to back up for almost a month when it crashed. We used what they had to get back up and running and then switched ISP's.
