right now im using macaffee whatever you call it with anti virus and fire wall... whats a good program that doesnt kill my memory or my bandwidth? (this thing seems to be chewing it up for no reason, i turn it off my download rate doubles)

So am I. Right now I use Norton Systemworks 2003. I never get viruses, but systemworks keeps windows in line. You can defragment your hard drive, scan for viruses, detect and fix registry errors.. bah too many features to even list. I really like it.Originally posted by fire1811

Mcaffe does the same thing to me. It grows if i leave it on, one time it got to 400,000k of my memory so i turn it off. It won't let us delete it, but we use norton anti-virus. I was at a site the other day, and it downloaded a trojan onto my computer(thought i was dl'ng something else) and it caught it, quaranteened it, and deleted it.

Umm...they have liveupdate. It updates about every couple days. *shrugs*
Also, you can quarentine then send them a virus that you have but norton does not have a fix for. I did this, and they SENT ME A FIX the very next day. It was actually less than 24 hours time. Can't ask for much more than that!Comment
