I, as representative of Valve inc., am very interested in the purchase of the domain name www.pwned.com.
As a leader in the online gaming industry and community, Valve (creator of such popular gaming environments as "Half-Life" and "Counter-strike") has always persued what has seemed to be in the best interest of the majority of the internet community as a whole. We now feel that, presented with the oppurtunity manifesting itself in www.pwned.com, an even larger number of people, avid gamers and passive surfers alike, could be connected.
Additionally, I truly believe that the credibility of previously stated offers is questionable, at best.
Now that you understand the seriousness of my offer, as well as the backing with which this offer carries, I'd like to make my simple offer for the acquisition of the domain www.pwned.com by Valve, inc.
1) A single cash payment of $35,000 (US currency) to the current owner of said domain
2) Minimal advertising (ie. a logo in the corner of some pages) in our new site linking to a website of your choice, which may or may not be that of the company you represent
3) The possibility of limited administrative powers given to you over the new site
Of course, all these terms are negotiable. I hope you will seriously consider this offer.
If at all possible, I would like to request that at least preliminary agreements may be made through this public forum, so that possible competitors (I've noticed over 250 hits to this thread) can be informed.
