    Web site help?

Is there such a thing as a web site builder that you can pick up at a software store?
How do I get my own web addy?
If I am a computer moron should I leave it to the pros?

I did mine(nothing special)with MS Publisher(it uses Frontpage as well). It's completely easy and simple,at least enough to get you started.

            AHHHHHH!!!!

The first rule of web design is:

1.) You are not allowed to use frontpage.

            Macromedia Dreamweaver...'nuff said.

I am being serious too. If you use frontpage to do certain things, some hosting companies won't be able to support it. Also, frontpage has a habit of messing stuff up so it won't really look like what frontpage says it looks like.

            Macromedia all the way.

I would just get StudioMX so that you get everything.

for the web hosting i'd go with netfirms.com if you're looking for free space. if you want a .com it's about $5 a month at most sites..shop around.

I Agree. Dreamweaver is probably the best choice you could make.

yep. there's only one acceptable web designer thats WYSIWYG (What You See Is What you Get): DREAMWEAVER.

                  Nothing else will do.

Is Dreamweaver something you can just grab off the shelf at a software store?
I am going big time with my buisness and want a nice web site with my own address(hopefully), nothing fancy with flash and crap just simple and easy.
And is Dreamweaver something a computer tard like myself can use?

I use Photoshop, Imageready, and Dreamweaver to build websites. Its the best combination ever. But I don't know how easy it would be to use for you. Oh yea, and they cost quite a bit.

I don't think so. I do have macromedia 4 and it hardly ever gets used.

guess I'm just old school, most of my stuff I write in raw html anyway so wysiwyg is a waste on me.
