All is fine in my town. Power just came on a few minutes ago (1930hrs) in my area.

Paso Robles had an antedeluvian age clock tower building collapse atop two patrons in a jewelry store, they were the only casualties. Sad. Other buildings also went down there, but noone else was hurt.

Atascadero's City Hall took a terrible hit, and will likely be torn down. This was a beautiful domed monument style building from the late 1800's. It resembles the Jefferson memorial in DC.

We rocked pretty good in the Armory. Ceiling tiles fell, along with a few bulletin boards. But we rode it out before skipping out of there (it's actually safer to stay inside, standing or sitting in a doorway, in case you're wondering).

Epicenter was 24 miles north, and 4 miles deep. It was felt from SF to LA, and out to Fresno and Bakersfield in the valley.

Cat freaked, dogs couldn't care, birds went cuckoo, Chrissy had a tizzy.

This is the most current tracking map. The large blue square was the big one, all others are aftershocks. The brown lines are fault-lines. The one going through Parkfield is the San Andreas, our "big one".

We felt it a little, but it was really wierd and I had no idea it was an earthquake (this was my first one). I was on the phone at work and it just felt like everything was swaying back and forth, lasted about 40 seconds. At first I just thought I was dizzy but it lasted longer than normal. Then everyone was evacuating the building. I called my children to make sure they were okay (Christmas break). It was scary for me because it's not something I'm used too.
              I'm glad your okay Army.

It was my first experience as well. There have been some closer in Simi Valley but not that big. I didn't realize it til my fiance came in and said "did ya feel the quake?"

Glad to hear your safe Army.
