    Holsters revisited

Well, finally got my safety class outta the way, just trying to find the time to go turn my carry permit application in so I can wait another 3 months

Anyways, does anyone have experience w/ Fobus holsters?

I've been looking at this one:

    Here's a better pic: http://fobusholster.net/Merchant2/me...uct_Code=SG4RP

I definately like having the flexibility to move the holster around to whatever position I feel most comfortable with at any given time..Not to mention not needing to wear a belt, since I never wear the stupid things, that's a major plus

Any other recomendations would be greatly appreciated

    Almost forgot, Sig P229

I have a real similar version in Uncle MIkes, only it's made of a poly material and has an adjustable locking force,as in,it locks in when you holster it.Very fast access, and the adjustment flexability is nice.

No direct experience with the Fobus though.

My only real question is,there's no way I can conceal a gun on my waist. At least not here in Fl. I use a shoulder harness most often or a soft sided "in the pants" holster.

Got a link or anything about the one you're talking about?

Agreed on the waist issue..which is why I'll go w/ the lower back placement ..Until I'm driving, then if I can find one that fits, I'll shove it in a mounted holster in my Jeep, or just move it over to my waist or something..

I'm pretty sure this is the one I have.(P226 Tho)

            That's the "pants" one.

            My "fav", the shoulder.

We have a big "Micheals of Oregon" dealer right here, buy one,buy the whole set!

                Mmm, not really.

I don't use it a whole lot. It's not great for sitting, but I don't think most waist holsters are.I like the way your gun snaps in,and that the "snap" is adjustable.Once you set it up,you can shake it around upside down and it won't fall out but just a little tug and pop,it's business time.

So,it's cool.I haven't tried tons of them so I can't say it's like the best or anything.but it's works for me.

That's what you got,229? Like it?

There's just something about a Sig that just feels right to me,one of my favorite handguns.

Thanks for the info, helpful nonetheless

Aye, P229..tis my baby..love that gun ...One of the sweetest shooting pistols I've had my hands on, that's for sure. Sig's are definately worth their weight in gold, IMO...
