Anybody who is worried about the RIAA, check it.

Alright, basically, you just go to this site and enter your ip, and it will say whether you are on one of the RIAA's subpoenas.

you can find your ip at: www.whatismyip.com

    Good luck!

Ummm...no. Not gonna submit my ip like sheep to the slaughter.

      Thanks, but no thanks.

*edit* Even if it is the EFF doing this..I don't trust the RIAA, and would not put it past them to try & get their hands on the submitted IP's..legally, or illegally. There's always a way, eh?..Yeah, I'm prolly being over-paranoid, but better safe than sorry.

Spazzed...wtf are you talking about? Just because you entered your ip in a field on a form, does not mean they have probable cause to subpoena you. It means nothing to enter your ip in.

but, if you want to be incredibly paranoid without a peace of mind, feel free not to do it.

Entering your ip into the form is not a statement of guilt, think about it.

              lol..I think you misunderstood me

I know it's not an admission of guilt, I'm not that naive

Now that the RIAA can't go through the ISP's, where do you think their going to start looking now? Common sense would dictate places like the EFF has setup above.. I know it's incredibly unlikely that anything would result of it, but I'd still rather be safe than sorry. I don't particularly feel like being sued anytime soon

Wes, you will notice that they said the RIAA could still find the names of the people, they would just have to go through the court.
