    My Home Theator

    Hey guys,
I have some time on my hands and I guess I'd like to show off my home theator. I have pictures at the bottom of this post too!
    so the specs:
screen: yes that is a projector; the screen ends up to be about 7 feet diagonally. Yes in one of the pictures I stand in front of it. I am only 6 feet tall.

    Sound:
Yeah I can do any sound on DVD's. THX, Dolby... and so on. Total number of speakers is 10, plus the sub. Which is 14".

yeah this beast of a home theator is the epitemy of the HALO parties in my group of friends. So far I have hooked up my Computer and actually gamed online with the 7' screen as my monitor. Home theator is also equipped with Wi-FI.

    So what do you think?

Digits: The fridge I got free. My neighbor is a coke dealer (no, not the drug) so he just stole it from the store.

Jet-Xino: I don't have AIM, got rid of it due to a bad experiance.

Nice setup. Im not a huge fan of sub/sat systems, mostly due to crossover issues and dynamic range limitations, but something is better than nothing. At least you have a dedicated room, and a big screen.

the speakers are all harmon-kardon. The room is sound proof. We had the sound down to 7 decibles nd the parents couldn't even hear anything!

                  Theater, not Theator.

THX is not an audio format, it's a standard of quality for components (speakers, amps, etc.) Formats are Dolby Digital (usually 5.1), DTS (usually 5.1), Dolby Prologic (2.0 matrixed to 4.0) and other such things.

A full THX Speaker setup should be 7 speakers, not 10. Addint additional drivers will muddle the sound if not done extremely carefully. 5 speakers will provide the right setup for most media, 6 for a very small minority of DVDs (with DTS 6.1). With the THX suggested 7 you can provide the right driver configuration for 5.1, 6.1 and other formats. That assumes that the PreAmp/Receiver can handle the 7 channel output correctly.

I don't mean to bash. Just inform.

Are you using a scaler on the projector? What is the projector? Is it bright enough for that large of a screen?
