Anybody else have the "Holiday Blues"?

I know that i've said that i suffer from depression before...i'll be honest...i deal with it every day on a day-to-day basis..it's something that I accept about my self but it seems like times like the holidays seem to be so much harder for me to keep a grip on how I feel..just wanted to open up to others out there to give my self a little more peace about it..

Accepting you have a problem is the first step to recovery, damn do I sound cliche

If its really bothering you, you might want to consider seeing a physciatrist, they can really make you talk.

Anyway get some sleep go paintballing and feel better

Suprizingly not so far this year for me. I am rather embroiled in rebuilding this old Vespa Scooter so it's kind of kept me off my arse and out of the house for a good time period of every day and given me something to concentrate on. Something to keep planning each day on even in my idle time. So thats been good for me in that respect...

Not so much Blues as it is me wanting to get back to school. I'm just a bum when I come home, and don't get anything done really. :o

You just gotta find time to do the things that make you happy. Lately i havnt had time to be bored. for the past 3 months i've been going to highschool (im a senior, woot!). A typical day goes like this, up at 6:30 for school at 7:30, get off school at 2:30 and go to work at 4, come home at 8:30 and do homework till 9. then i get some computer time right before bed. I get to do the same thing day in and day out for at least 5 days a week. Now that we are on winter break its a bit better cause i can stay up as late as i want after work. In the end its all gonna pay off for me cause very soon im treating myself to an emag. Bottom line is keep yourself busy. Hang out with friends, go see the new Lord of the rings movie (grrr that reminds me, i've been to busy to see that too!), do whatever you can. Hopefully you'll come around, just hang in there.

                  A bit bluish around here.

Dad had surgery on his spine a few weeks ago and still isn't walking yet.

We had to take Mom back to the hospital on friday due to a severe staff infection that developed after knee surgery last week. She just came home yesterday.

My little bro needed a break from it all so we sent him back up north for the holidays. He gets back tonite.

My middle brother is a flake and the holiday only magnifies that.

I'm still partially laid up from my accident.

So basically,we didn't have Christmas. We're hoping to do something tommorrow if we can get the family together.

                  So it's not just you.

                  Jay.

No holiday blues for me. I took one of my very good lady friends to see Return of the King on opening night, I got some nice gear for Christmas, I played paintball on the 26th and 27th and had a blast, the blazer gets back from PPS today, I'm working over the break and earning money (the good part is that I'm earning money), I'm planning on taking another one of my very good lady friends on a date in a few days, and I turn 20 in 10 days .

That, and I'm somehow feeling particularly blessed this year, so no holiday blues here. Only holiday warmth . Sure, there have been some downers already, but I just let those go and focus on the good parts.

If you're depressed, then look for the silver lining in everything and just let the negative and depressing things go.

Yeah I got the whole Holiday Blues going on myself. A girl I really liked went back off to her hometown for the holidays. and i din't speak to her for a week and a bit, and now to be honest I dunno where all my feelings for her went. Kinda lost that little connection we had. oh well life goes on. Been spending all my time lately spinning vinyl on my turntables and composing new tunes in fruity loops for a new megamix i'm making. So I guess really I was blue at the beginning of the holidays, but now that i'm losing myself in my music things are getting better.

If anyone else here remembers Altern8 contact me ASAP..I refuse to believe that I am alone.
