Saving is kind of a vital process when it comes to using Photoshop.

You know... If you want to keep anything you do.

I find that the magic wand is a great tool if you have a great deal of contrast in the image. I prefer to use the magnetic lasso when I'm making cuts. Play with both (and the tolerances on them) and find which one works better for you.

After playing for a few hours i suspect i need to save the gun then bring it over to the cash

Once you have it, the mag, selected (magic wand or lasso), you can paste it into the cash image as a new layer. That way you can manipulate it over the cash.
