AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.

Originally posted by bleachit it seems to me, that according to his own words, that the very nature of his own time machine would make it impossible to go back to his own world. if he was at point D and tried to get back to point C, he would end up at point E, which is an "alternate" 1975. Why would his time machine have a percent divergence from his 2036(A) back to 1975(B), which become point (C) but NOT have a percent divergence from 2000(D) to back to point (C). According to what he said, point (C), or him traveling back to before point(C).
"From the very point I turn my machine off on (B), I create a new worldline just because I'm there."
this statement, if true, would mean he would end up creating an infinite number of worldlines trying to get back to his, which would ultimately prove futile.
Sliders Anyone
Kind of seems like the same "plot" as the show, even if there are major differences.
Although time travel will NEVER be discovered. How do I know? If it ever would have, someone would have already come back into the past. And as far as I know, no one has yet
*well of course, no one who can PROVE they're from the future. Crazy people don't count *
How is it any different than believing in a religion?

First off, my beliefs on this guy are irrelevant because I have yet to read it
Second, and finally, to all you who claim time travel is impossible, do you have proof to back up this statement? No? I didn't think so.
Just because there are not concrete facts stating that Time Travel is indeed possible, does not mean that the possibility of said event occuring does not exist.
OK after doing a little research,I found he came about informing people that he was from the future in a Paranormal/Conspiracy IRC channel.
That enough is plenty proof its fraud. Coming from the future, he managed to find the one true place complete "nerds" and space theroy addicts would be chatting. The one place people wouldn't laugh him away as long as he seemed to know what he was talking about. Let alone how he knew how to use a program not around in his "time" is oddly questioning.
All it takes is someone with TONS of time on their hands and some knowlegde on the subject (Time travel and space theroy) to be able to convincably tell a pretty creative story, and have people believe you; especially if those people already have a huge interest in the subject. I'm guessing he was a frequent visitor of that particular IRC channel, or was already into that kind of stuff long before he planned this scam.
Its just like someone coming into a unknown, probably local IRC channel setup by a incredably religious small group of people and saying your Jesus returning to your children. All it would take is a decent amount of knowledge on Jesus and the bible as well as some skills in commincation and debate (sp) and most likely you would convince some people you are indeed Jesus; if not have people question it as if it were a possibility. Of course, just like the people who believe this giys does exist, they HAVE to lack in the common sense area.
Oh ya, have you seen the picture of his "time machine?" Its a joke. Stickers, a toolbox, some big plastic parts, and coiled wire probably from an old earphone is what he calls his "time machine," please. Take a look for your self.
I particularly like how he took low resolution, highly un-revealing pictures as his "proof." Notice the relatively same angle in every pic, just with different lighting. He seemed so adiment to prove he is indeed from the future by going as far as to showing us his "time machine," you would think he would take the time to give better pictures.
Heres a "cutaway" image he provided that is supposedly the internals of his "time machine."
I've seen more convincing diagrams in Dr. Suess books.
Oh wait! Lets not forget the ever so convincing army patch he provided! Look at the authenticness of it, IT HAS TO BE REAL!
If your the kind of person to believe this kind of crap, then by all means do so. But remember the Y2K scare? Remember those hilariously sad people who spent THOUSANDS building huge bunkers and fortifications around there house to protect themselves from the "ignorant" Y2K survivors would did not believe in the scare? Those people were a joke, and so is this.
Remember, throw enough darts at a dart board, and you will eventually hit the bullseye, trying or not. This is how nortodomus (sp) manages to look somewhat REAL in the aspect his proficies arn't complete sacks of poo. He made HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of predictions, and only a few of them came true, and even then they were extremely general. Meaning they could be implied on numerous things.
Once again, this is a scam/joke done by a rather creative person onto very gullible people (or to me lack common sense) in hopes to convince people his story is true. For what I have no idea.
Sorry if I sounded crude, but its late, I'm hungry, and I'm out of Cheetos. A very bad combination when late night forum posting

What about creating a whole new form of energy by somehow creating a huge thermoreaction with mice terds by using some form of undiscovered technology? Can YOU prove its not possible?
If the technology/knowlegde required to do so is still "undiscovered," you techniqually can't say it isn't possible.
I can come up with plenty of ridiculious things such as above, which in my opinion (and is just that ) is the same nonsense as time travel.
"In 2036, I live in central Florida with my family and I'm currently
stationed at an Army base in Tampa. A world war in 2015 killed nearly three
billion people. The people that survived grew closer together. Life is
centered on the family and then the community. I cannot imagine living even
a few hundred miles away from my parents."
Life has changed so much over my lifetime that it's hard to pin down a
"normal" day. When I was 13, I was a soldier. As a teenager, I helped my dad
haul cargo. I went to college when I was 31 and I was recruited to "time
travel" shortly after that. Again, I suppose an average day in 2036 is like
an average day on the farm.
The ages don't add up there..
If you minus 2036 from 2015 you get 21.. So 21 years ago from his age of 31 was when the war started.. So this means he was 10 when the war started.. Maybe he was a soldier for 3 more years that he forgot.. But I dunno.. Maybe there was an age limit of 13 haha
