If I came from the future and wanted to post my story on the internet I would do the exact same thing. It is true that is the one group that would pay attention to him and that is probably why he went there (if this is true).

I am useing the innocent until proven guilty system. Until he gives me a reason not to believe him I'll trust what he said. I am not going to change my life because of this but I will keep it in the back of my mind.

Civil war makes perfect sence to me. Right now Bush is worried about terroirism, what he started granted random searches of peoples houses. He would begin taking away our rights as US citizens and people would start rebeling. He might then view the rebeling as terrorism and send in the military, therefor creating a Waco like situation. This keeps going on and gets worse and worse all teh while Russia thinks, "You know I bet we could get rid of those Americans right now, they aren't focused on us any more." SO they send a couple nukes to try and kill our government. They succesfully kill of most of the US army and government who were operating in the cities and bases where conincidently the Russians fired their nukes. As a result other countrys fire nukes at Russia and everyone exchanges nukes until most of the world is covered in radiation.

I think most of the skeptsism is caused by people not wanting to believe that their world can be gone in a matter of a few years. I don't believe that this will happen but I think that at the same time it is a very real possibility.

Assumeing John is just a fraud should we dismiss what he said? Maybe he is just some guy making up a story. Maybe he wants the world to change before something like what he describes really does happen. My guess is he is just a concerned US citizen.

I have a very strong suspicion ( hell its not even a suspicion, I know for a fact it is [well 99%]) that the 'John Titor' account was created by someone who is already registered to AO, and wants to kind of .. err.. trick you guys?

George W. Bush wins in a very close election once again. In late 2004 there is an "event" that triggers President Bush to enact martial law. This leads to a large revolt very soon which quickly evolves into civil war.
