AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Originally posted by devildog well, what he says is that there are i assume infinite number of "worldlines" as he calls them, (these would be parrallel universes maybe?), and in each you exist. so there should be infinite amount of a particular person. when you time travel in his thoughts, you go to one of the other worldlines, so when he was here in our worldline giving his story, there was really 2 of them here, the old one giving the story, and the baby one that really is from this worldline.
its tough to explain, if you dont get it, let me know, ill try to explain better. ive done lots of research on him these past couple days, i still dont believe it but its quite and interesting story.
thats what I was thinking as well. the parralell universe idea is what i was going for, but was a little perplexed. if theres a parallel universe, how would one end up in anothers universe. after all, they are 2 seperate entities and such. kinda reminds me of the movie "the one" with the wormholes and all..
iunno. in theory, its interesting. thats just it, entertainment value.
I still think this is a story made up by a rather smart individual. Believing in John Titor is like believing in Miis. Cleo, I mean she even had commericals!
But we all know what happened to Miss Cleo...
It all comes down to how he went about telling the world who he was and his "mission." If you truely wanted to tell people your from the future, and give them a heads up if you will, his method would be the worst yet. A joke really. That is plenty enough for ME to dismiss this as a scam/fake/fraud/hoax/joke.
Not to mention his history is a little off. If I recal (I'm not about to go find it again), when he was explaining why he won't change history, he gave an example what would of happened if he warned the RADAR operators at pearl habor. He said if he went back and warned the RADAR operators that the reading wasn't a flock birds, but indeed a wave of enemy fighters, the base could have thwarted (<-- I know its not a word) the attack, possibly delaying the entry into WW2. He proceeded to say if the US did not join WW2 immedately, they would not have developed the Atomic bomb, and Germany would develop it first and bombed London. But I was under the impression the US was already under going the Manhattan Project long before Pearl Harbor. But then again I could wrong, but I swore the development of the Atomic bomb was already in motion before pearl.
I'll once again refer back to the Y2K scare. There were those stupid enough to believe the world was going to end simply because someone said so. This case is no different.
Also, what I believe is an opinion, as much as so as believing in what I think is nonsense. Although I do feel this story holds as much truth as a cult.

germany already had all the makings of the atomic bomb before america was involved in the war. they had all the parts on a train enroute to some facility somewhere, but was siderailed to make room for military soldiers, supplies, or something or other on another train. the first train with the bomb was forgoten.......
i saw it on the history channel a couple of years ago. just think, what would have happened if germany knew what they actually had

His mission wasn't to tell people abou the future.
"What we have to accomplish at this time is all the more clear: relentless criticism of all existing conditions, relentless in the sense that the criticism is not afraid of its findings and just as little afraid of the conflict with the powers that be."

Originally posted by John Titor I came back recently. I found a slightly burnt card in an abandoned house that appeared to be damaged in the war. The card had a black background and many strnge words in a small green font. In white lettering it said "Official Forum Membership Card". On the bottom in the same color it said "automags.org" and "member # 10,261." I used the time machine to go back in time and logged on to the internet to see what the purpose of this site was.
BS haha. Omg dude your so full of it. That right there would probably never happen. First off after a war and alot of choas I don't think many people would still go on the Automag.org forums if this site is even up then. And second, what are the chances of you finding a card that has this site. Why would this site be on a card. True, there is a slite chance you are from the future and what not but that is the smallest chance ever. IMO your so full of it.

I didn't say his mission was to tell us about the future. His mission was to retrieve the IBM 5000 (or was it IBM 5100?) computer so they could repair broken SAHKHDFKwhatever codes that all their computers ran on.
I merely was trying to point out how, where, and when he went about telling people this. Its a joke.
also, if you give me a few minutes, i have a website where titor, his friend charlie (who claims he came back to get him, cause titors ship has broke down) are currently posting, yes, you yourself can actually talk to the real john titor. (everyone on that forum is a non believer that titor didnt leave, and think charlie is fake too, i have to agree with them.)
