i don't think there is. My dad won't let me do it on the big screen as well, and the screen sometimes gets messed up (because sometimes i do play on it when my mom and dad arent home)

well just checked the manual, and all i could find about that is "Static image caution: Static images, such as DVD menus... may leave a faint perminant image on the tv screen if left on for extended periods of time. Projection TV's are more susceptible to this than other types of displays"
so it sounds like you'll be fine as long as u dont leave it sitting for a long time
      good luck and have fun!

all it does is burn an image into your screen. and thats for ANYTHING a computer monitor, PS1 on a screen for to long, xbox on a screen for to long, the same image on a screen for to long, ect..

just make sure if you pause the game you turn the tv OFF!!! I have seen a few projection tvs get burned before. Nothing like a few grand out the window.

yes you can but unless you have an LCD projection tv try to find the users manual to see if you can(that is what is says in every game manual).

Burn in isn't really an issue on most current production monitors.

If your not sure on yours, just make sure you don't leave it on for long periods of time with a stationary image on the screen.Other than that, you won't hurt anything.

Burned Images is STILL a major concern with current Monitors and TV's. Most monitors still function off the old picture tube design, as well as most TVs. Plasma i don't believe is as prone to burn as Tubes but you never know. As said before, it will work perfectly fine as long as you don't leave it on a static image for a long period of use.

i play ps2 on my 50 inch Mitsubishi widescreen everyday and havent had a problem yet. Its only a year old so if urs is newr than mine i dont see why u would have any problems with it. but like someone else said dont pause and leave the tv on for extended periods of time.

Since the advent of widescreen formatted VHS and DVDs,burn in has been delt with to elimimate the potential for burn in of the "black bars" shown during use of these formats. In "most" current product TV's of good or better quality,it is only a concern for very extended periods of time.

Plasma dispays are much more prone to burn in due to self illuminated phosphers and will often due so in 15-30 minutes.

LCD display in most cases will not burn in at all.

the way i figure it is if it says "high definition" like most of the newer game systmes are then dont worry about it
