Ugh, last night I tried to download Escape Velocity and because I am on 56k it is going to take 5 hours so I decided to do it overnight.

I checked it again at like 3am and again at about 4 and both times it was working fine. When I woke up and checked it AOL had disconnected and the download which was started in IE had stopped (duh).

Is there a way to start where I left off? If I had made it through half the download shouldn't half the files be on my computer?

Not without a download manager.

And the files usually aren't saved until the download is complete.Check your Temp Internet files to be sure.

Damn, ohh well I also started the download at my moms where we have DSL so I guess I gotta run to her house and burn the install file.

That's why we have FTP and DC++.

I have AOL myself so I know how you feel. But for some reasin, i never kicks me off anymore.

And 5hrs is nothing, Windows XP and both builds of Longhorn that I downloaded took a week each. And Old School took 3 weeks.


And isn't Gozilla the one hats choc full of spy/ad-ware?

just a little bit of adware, but the program itself works fine, and its only when gozilla is running otherwise there were no other excess popups, atleast that was my experience
