    Need help deciding on snowboard

So I'm gettin a snowboard tommorow for my birthday, and I dont know what to get. I am thinking about getting a M3 cause they are cheap and good, but some people have told me they are crap. I can spend 50 bucks more and get a Burton Cascade, or 100 more and get a Gnu or Forum.

    Anyone know ANYTHING about snowboards?

Quiet here on AO was pro once, he can probably help you out. I know quite a few people with M3's and they are satisfied. It really depends on what kind of riding your interested in doing. I'd go with an alpine board if I were you... I really wanna get one, cause I stopped freestyle last year.

what espo said...but burton's are always a good choice...the model is really what is important, and depends on what you wanna do.

find somewhere that has last years models and you can buy new boards for half the price. I got my sims board for 180 canadian, it is realy good too, look into them cuz they rock, and it was realy cheap just cuz it was last years model, my friend bought it the year before for about 400.

If your into park stuff, forum is a good company, but all in all you should go to a good store and talk to someone about what you want and they should be able to help you.

Thats what I'm doing, the m3 is 195, the Burton is 250, and the Gnu is 300. I want a freeride board.

I personally like Lamar boards, but Burtons are always good. Check out the Burton Cruzer. Its very good and not to expensive at all. I just purchased a Nitro board, and its excellent, although a bit pricey.

do you know what model of Gnu it is?? i had a gnu, and it wasn't the best. it was still awesome, but a local snowboard shop only gave me 30 for it I thought it was worth more than that.

I currently have an M3, works good enough for me for now. I personally really like sims and neversummer though. Just make sure you get the right size. And good boots.
