i work at a fast food place and was going up there 2 or 3 times a day cause i could get free soda, plus inbetween orders, i would grab a small drink and it was usually soda. i quit for the most part and the best way to stop is have ppl you are always around know that you trying to quit, so when you goto grab a coke, there will be someone saying hay, arn't you sapposed to be trying to stop drinkin soda?. also, it take 21 day to start a new habit, and to quit an old one. after about a month, you wont even think about soda. that is how i did it atleast, been doing fine, lost almost 15lbs doing nothing but sitting on my backside and drinking loads of water, and one bottle of faygo a day.

are you serious? In my prime I was doing a 12 pack of Dr pepper a day. I've reduced it to 2 cans between 11pm and 3 am... cause I work nights I get a special treat to help pass the midnight oil.

When I got my tongue pierced the first time I was so paranoid I stoped drinking altogether. I instantly lost 15 pound.

It's really cheap and really good. but it makes you really fat and gives your dentist headaches...

I do a 12 pack in 2 days easy. During the summer, in the dog days when all I do is finish summer projects, I can hit the upper reaches of perfection and do a 24 pack in 2 days.

Anywho, I think the only problem with your addiction is that you call it "pop". You might need to see a doctor about that.

Who the hell is saying easterners call it pop? Its mostly mid-west and southerners who do that. We call it soda here... (Unless you are from the Bronx, in which case you prolly call it soder.)

If you think drinking 288 fluid ounces of high calorie, high sugar carbonated water YOU better go see a doctor. At the rate you're going, especially 24 in 2 days, 576 fluid ounces you'll be a diabetic before you know it.

I used to drink a SUPER big gulp (74 cents baby!) every day.. I think that was 64+ ounces.. might have been more. But then I stopped working at the shop right next to a damn 7/11. I'm glad I did.. I feel better for not drinking so much soda. Now I have a can, or maybe TWO a day.. and it's caffiene free, sugar free soda. It uses splenda which is a sugar suppliment.. and it's not full of all the nasty chemicals aspertame has.

Good luck with that, sometimes I miss coke.. but then I remember how much I drank.

Totally a wrong belief, Diabetes is not caused by food ingestion of any kind...it is however effected by it. You either develop it or are born with it....neither cause is known but the results are. many people have diabetes are totally unaware of it until they have tests that are for other things and it shows up then...many older people have diabetes but their diet controls it...there are degrees of diabetes, partial pancreatic secretion and total shut down. the commonest mis naming of diabetes is Sugar diabetes hence the wrong conclusions being reached...you body requires sugars not the other way around...the stupidest thing that time after time gets newspaper column inches is the little child who found mommy/daddy in a coma and knew that they were diabetic and gave them their insulin shot...THIS WILL KILL THE PERSON...the reason they have collapsed is because they have HAD their insulin shot and haven't eaten enough carbs or sugars. The Shot that the paramedics give when getting to a collapsed person is a shot of basically pure glucose and this brings them around.....if you have had your insulin shot and don't eat you fall over reasonably quickly ..hours not days...if you DON'T have your shot then it will take days to fall over...two distinct differnt situations. Sorry for the rant but it is too common for this kind of misused medical thoughts. Incidently my father and two close friends are Diabetic, My father is totally dependant on shots as is one friend the other friend has only just stepped up to injections having been diagnosed for 3 years now...previously his diet controlled it and it was an insurrance medical that found it.

As long as you drink a decent mmount of water you sould be fine. An now, they can just break t up with ultra sound(i think) and yu just piss out the sand.

HEHE you called it pop, down here in the south we call it coke, even if we want a orange soda, we say I want a coke. But yeah it is bad for you. Over the break i was going threw like a 6 pac of dew a night.
